Aristide Maillol’s The Mountain

For the 10-year anniversary of the Walter Wing at the Columbus Museum of Art, Pacemour transformed the museum courtyard with a projection mapping installation on Aristide Maillol’s The Mountain. We began by precisely scanning the sculpture to create a highly detailed 3D digital model, allowing us to design animations that responded directly to the form, contours, and mass of the original work. By building the visuals in three dimensions rather than treating the statue as a flat surface, the projection integrated seamlessly with the sculpture, revealing new depth, motion, and narrative while honoring the integrity of Maillol’s iconic piece.
Rudis Olympic Shoot

For a promotional video shoot with Rudis, a premier wrestling shoe company sponsoring seven members of the US Olympic Wrestling Team, we were tasked with creating an immersive background environment projected onto a 5 corner cyc wall and reflected on a mirror stage. The goal was to minimize room depth and hide all corners, giving the illusion of an expansive open sky behind the wrestlers.
The Columbus Museum of Art’s Wonderball

For the past decade, we have been honored to be the creative force behind the visual experience at Wonderball, the Columbus Museum of Art’s signature annual fundraising gala. As the only artists to have been involved since its inception, we’ve evolved our work each year to align with the event’s ever-changing themes. The highlight of our contributions is the custom projection mapping display in the pavilion, where multiple projectors cover the space’s walls to create an immersive environment that captivates attendees. Each display is tailored not just to the architecture but also to the mood of the night, with custom animations that make the event’s theme come to life.
Highball Halloween

For the annual event Highball Halloween, in 2023 the Short North Alliance decided to include a projection mapped display. We helped them choose a wall with very interesting geometry on the outer facade of the Columbus Convention Center. The installation was quite a challenge from a projection mapping standpoint because the convention center’s exterior has a lot of architectural details that needed to be carefully considered. To make sure the projections looked consistent and smooth for everyone watching from the street below, we had to adjust various parts of the projection scale and placement. Our team handled everything from the creative design to the technical setup, providing a comprehensive solution that turned important neighborhood landmarks into vibrant, animated displays. This project allowed the Short North Alliance to make a strong impression with their first big foray into large-scale projection art, transforming the area into a stunning visual experience for everyone to enjoy.
Hilton Columbus

When Hilton developed their new Columbus tower in 2022, connected to the Greater Columbus Convention Center, they envisioned more than just striking architecture and refined interiors. In the heart of the reception area, they commissioned a large copper wall installation designed to depict the Columbus, Ohio river system and notable local landmarks.
COSI After Dark Projection Mapping

For COSI’s monthly *COSI After Dark* series, we created a dynamic outdoor projection mapping display that transformed the iconic logo on the front facade of the building. This installment of the event had a retro ’80s theme, so our custom visual animations were designed to evoke the vibrant, nostalgic energy of that era. As guests arrived, they were greeted by bold, colorful projections that not only highlighted COSI’s logo but also set the tone for an exciting night ahead.
BGSU 100th Homecoming Projection Mapping
For Bowling Green State University’s 100th Homecoming Anniversary, we delivered a striking projection mapping experience on the historic facade of University Hall. Our team designed a five-minute animated sequence that looped throughout the night, combining dynamic visuals with a carefully curated audio medley. The soundtrack featured quotes from the university president, the school’s marching band, and a mix of motivational music tracks, creating an engaging and emotionally resonant experience for the audience.
